What do you mean by Classified Advertisement ?

Classified advertisements are advertisements placed by individuals wishing to advertise goods and services available or needed.

You will find classified ads in the columns of newspapers and magazines.

The important characteristics of a classified ad are

No locks, no designs and the language to be factual.
Simple, formal and to the point.
Comprehensive, but should not leave any important matter.
Never be too long (stick to the word limit).
